Alan has served as the Chair of MOLC since 2019 and is currently the Director of Regional Delivery at the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust. With more than 35 years of experience, he is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, working closely with stakeholders at all levels. Alan specializes in public land management, environmental issues, and emergency management. In his role as MOLC Chair, he uses his expertise to drive strategic outcomes, promote community engagement, and lead impactful landcare initiatives.
Denise joined the MOLC committee in 2024, bringing five years of experience as Treasurer of the Indigo Creek Landcare Group. Passionate about nature, she and her husband have a small farm in the Indigo Valley, grazing cattle and using regenerative farming methods. As Secretary, Denise is committed to supporting MOLC’s work, strengthening community connections, and promoting sustainable land management.
Dennis Arne has been a Group representative at MOLC and elected to the Treasurer role in 2024. President of the Mudgegonga & District Landcare Group, he leads initiatives focused on sustainable land management and conservation. Originally from Canada, Dennis has over 35 years of experience as a geologist and geochemist, has worked globally in regions such as the Yukon and Sudan and has a farm where he runs sheep and cattle. Additionally, he has served as a volunteer firefighter in Yackandandah and remains dedicated to environmental stewardship and community service. Dennis’s wealth of experience in land management, environmental science, and community leadership will bring invaluable insights and expertise to MOLC, driving initiatives that benefit both the environment and local communities.
Sue's long-standing commitment to the MOLC committee is invaluable and is President of Wooragee Landcare Group. As MOLC Backup Manager, she provides crucial support to the Landcare Facilitator, acting as a reliable sounding board, especially during challenging situations. Her ability to offer advice and different perspectives helps navigate complex issues effectively. With her deep understanding of landcare practices, dedication to environmental stewardship, and proactive involvement in organizing workshops and events, Sue enhances community engagement and promotes sustainable land management practices. Her contributions have significantly strengthened MOLC's efforts, making her a key figure in driving their mission forward.
